Morning:
Metropolitan Museum of Art – New Greek and Roman Galleries
A trained Metropolitan Museum of Art docent will lead us in an informative tour of the extensive collection of Greek and Roman art. Ranging in date from the Neolithic period to the time of the Roman emperor Constantine's conversion to Christianity in A.D. 312, this collection is among the most comprehensive in North America.
Lunch at JoJo
Enjoy lunch at the elegant, Jean-Georges-owned restaurant, JoJo. The three-course lunch includes salad, a choice between two entree selections, desert, and beverage.
Afternoon:
Metropolitan Museum of Art – European Paintings Gallery
A docent led tour through the collection of Old Master and nineteenth-century European paintings—one of the greatest such collections in existence. The collection ranges in dates from the twelfth through the nineteenth centuries, and features works from the French, Italian and Dutch schools, as well as fine works by British, Netherlandish, German, Spanish, and Flemish masters.
There will be time to shop at The Met Store before returning to Lancaster.
