Young Critics Workshops: Exhibition Programming for children ages 8 - 12 Workshop A: From Seeing to Blogging: A Complete Arts Experience Saturday May 15, 1-3:30 p.m. Echo Valley Art Group artist, Carol Toner Shane, will guide children through the Echo Valley Art Group: 65th Anniversary Exhibition. Young critics will get a Q & A time with professional artists! Blogger Jill Althouse-Wood will tap into various parts of the participant's brains to get them to express their ideas about art. Children will creatively write blogs to be featured on the LMA website. Workshop B: Thoughtful Eyes: Pick the Kids Choice Award Session 1: Tuesday June 15, 1-3:30 p.m. Session 2: Wednesday June 23, 1-3:30 p.m. This workshop encourages participants to thoughtfully respond to artwork and form opinions. Examining the artwork from a variety of perspectives, kids will make video blogs and vote for the Kids Choice Award of the Community Art Exhibition! Award winner will be revealed on First Friday, June 2, 2010. Members of the Echo Valley Art Group will participate in these exciting workshops. All session are FREE! Registration is preferred.
